Overview 

 

This conference is offered to frontline healthcare workers who are interested in enhancing their knowledge of pain and addiction management. 

Conference Learning Objectives

Following the conference, attendees will be able to:

 

  • Implement strategies to reduce harm for people living with chronic pain and substance use disorder.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of care delivery in situations of complex patient presentations.

A half-day De-escalation Skills Workshop will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023. 
Accreditation
This 1.0 credit-per-hour Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 8.5 Mainpro+ credits.

Above rates are for the sessions on Friday, March 3, 2023 only. 

*Persons living with pain and or addiction are welcomed to attend the sessions on Friday, March 3, 2023 and will be exempt from registration fees. Persons interested in attending may contact Shelley.Ledrew@nshealth.ca to arrange for complimentary registration.

Registration fees for the De-escalation Skills Workshop on Saturday, March 4, 2023 are as follows:

$50 for participants attending the conference on Friday
$100 for participants attending Saturday session only

NOTE: Seating for the De-escalation Skills Workshop is limited to 30 healthcare professionals
